Napier Museum Trivandrum

Iconic entrance to Napier Museum Trivandrum

Standing tall, this entrance bears the hallmark of Travancore construction. It's one of the main landmark of Trivandrum. The stretch of road from Museum junction to Kowdiar place is best part of Thrivanthapuram ( Trivanrdrum).

Established by the Maharaja of Travancore, it's majestic beauty attracts outsiders and Trivandrumites.

Napier Museum & Zoo
The whole area which includes Zoo spreads over 55 acres of land. This time when I visited Napier Museum or museum as we all call it, it's open grass was looking ever green from the constant rain. I still remember the time I've spend with my friends in this large campus, sharing stories, cutting jokes or to just while away our youthful fantasies.

Government Secretariat

Trivandrum is incomplete without this landmark building. Secretariat stands in the heart of Trivandrum with a majestic presence. It's main pillars kind of look like Roman constructions. Standing there you would expect Romanistic kind of people to walk, but you'll be saddened by the kind of bureaucracy going inside those majestic edifice.

If you're in Trivandrum, you should not miss taking a walk around this sprawling building. It's not open to public, you can go inside this sprawling Government building to have coffee at their Indian coffee house. Ask for coffee house inside this Secretariat and helpful people will give you to this small coffee outlet behind this building.

Kaleidescope of Kerala bureaucrats & Clerks

While you sip your coffee inside the Secretariat Coffee house, you cannot miss the Govt official's chit chatter. Just relax with the aroma of coffee as you can imagine the kind of work these folks do inside this big building.
